How we review SaneBox

What this site is

SaneBox Reviews is an independent review aggregator. We are not SaneBox and we don't work for them. Our goal is simple: collect what real users say about SaneBox across the platforms where they post it, then organize it so you can make an informed decision in a few minutes instead of an afternoon.

Where the reviews come from

We aggregated 136 published reviews across 5 platforms. We did not write, edit, or solicit any of them. Every review is the words of a real SaneBox user, quoted from its original source:

  • Trustpilot· Mostly unprompted reviews from individual SaneBox subscribers.
  • G2· Business users, mostly at small companies; over half marked incentivized.
  • Capterra· Verified reviews from consultants and small-business owners.
  • App Store· Ratings for the companion iPhone and iPad app on the US App Store.
  • Reddit· Posts and comments from people describing their own use of SaneBox, collected from 13 threads in 2025 and 2026.

SaneBox averages 4.7 across 1,700+ ratings on four platforms. The reviews on this site are a hand-picked snapshot of that corpus, chosen to reflect its recurring themes, critical reviews included.

How we score and tag

Each review is tagged by sentiment (positive, mixed, or critical) and by audience (work email or personal email), so you can filter to the perspective that matches you. The verdict score on the homepage is the count-weighted average of the platforms' own public ratings, using the counts listed above. Our snapshot skews toward written and critical reviews on purpose, so its plain average (4.1/5) can run lower than the platform-wide figure. Neither number is made up, and neither is weighted to flatter the product.

Reddit posts carry no star rating, so they show none and stay out of every average. On G2, 129 of the 231 SaneBox reviews we pulled are marked as incentivized, and many arrived through invitation campaigns in 2021 and mid-2026; we quote mostly the ones that aren't. At least 23 reviewers posted the same review on two platforms, and we use each one once.

Review lists open sorted by "Most relevant": detailed, recent reviews that describe what SaneBox did for the writer come first, drawn from a mix of platforms, and the critical ones come after. Switch the sort to Newest, Highest rating, or Lowest rating, or filter to Critical, to read them in another order. The order never changes the averages above, which count every review we show.

Why we publish critical reviews

A review site that only shows praise isn't a review site. We include the negative reviews on purpose: the billing complaints, the support frustrations, the edge-case bugs, all verbatim and unedited. Balance is the entire point. It's what lets you trust the positive reviews too.

We earn a commission if you sign up for SaneBox through links on this site, at no extra cost to you. This is how we fund the work. It does not influence which reviews we show, how we tag them, or the score we report. The data is the data whether or not you click a link.
