Indispensable

I’ve been using SaneBox for so long I can’t even remember — eight years? It has fundamentally changed the way I relate to my email for the better. Now that there is an app it is even more useful and integrated. The app is simple yet powerful. It does exactly what I need it to do in an elegant manner. I will never go back to using email without SaneBox.

Time Saver

Sane Box has saved me so much time, I used to get so much unwanted mail and would spend countless hours just trying to go through them all. This has been the best time saver and has helped me so much. I have recommended this to family and friends.

The most unexpected solution

I’ve tried ALL email clients for Mac and could not find any with good combination of performance, hotkeys, and filtering. Suddenly no client is the answer. Using SaneBox in combination with Mailspring and LOVING it!

Great automation - but I fight it sometimes

I really like the ease of being able to drag a message to a folder/mailbox and have a rule automatically created to handle that sender's messages. However, I'm constantly fighting with it because so many sites send verification emails - emails that I want to see immediately in my inbox. What ends up happening is Sanebox moves them before I can open and click on a verification link. This isn't Sanebox's fault - the tool is working exactly as it should and it works very well. But I have not found a solution that can leave some emails where they are or at least leave them for 5 minutes so I don't have to hunt through different mailboxes to find the message.

Latest Upgrade Makes Me Want to Terminate

I’ve always been a bit on the fence about this app - it doesn’t do anything in terms of recognizing junk, and often makes it difficult to find a missing or password reset email. In fact, password reset emails often take over an hour to show up and by then they’re invalid. There’s no real intelligence in the app; you do all the work. But this last upgrade is infuriating. It’s added 2–3 more steps per line to the Review process in order to achieve the same results. How did they consider this an improvement?

It’s ok

Good concept , sort of reliable. The app has to be the worst designed app ever . Also the filters don’t pull the names of the emails but it tell you the email address from where it was sent that makes it very hard to find emails . Good concept but please for that prize you must do better at designing a decent app. It’s really terrible and unusable

Service is great, but app does it a disservice

Huge Sanebox fan! Been a user for years and saves tons of time. But the app just is too buggy and undermined the service. Had to delete it to get value again from the awesome Sanebox service.

High Learning Curve

This app sounds really great maybe awesome in its web version. But going back and forth between the app and the built in browser is not a great experience. I will give the web version a try.

Not a comfortable experience

I am someone that wants to clean up my massive email, but I’ve avoided automated tools (and literally had assistants) to do this because of the fear of it making mistakes. I was hoping this was using actual ai to make decisions. I suspect it is not. No default (actual ai) filter would take shipping notifications from legit orders I’ve placed this week and actual invitations to events happening next week and lump them in with unimportant advertising emails. Also, it’s very odd to know that a robot is making decisions about my emails but I have no initial visibility as to where they will end up, how many it’s moved, or what it’s algorithm is designed for during initial setup. In addition the digest is provided once per day and I was shown a “wait 3 hours” message - just felt very obscured. This type of cleanup app is not for me. Maybe it is for you, but I think you’ll get a similar experience just searching for the word unsubscribe and auto-putting into a separate folder. This did not seem to have any self awareness beyond that. Also maybe it has these things, but on the first day that I’m letting a robot have full access to my inbox, I expect a more transparent experience. How about asking if I’d like to see a demo of what it’s going to do before the first time it does it?

Fatal Attraction

I didn’t decide to stick with SaneBox. Thank goodness I only tried 1 email address. I took the time to go to their website and CLOSE my account. In addition I unsubscribed to their emails. However every time I open my email I am still missing emails that have been redirected. I have deleted their folders, restarted my phone. Deleted my email from my phone completely and restarted it. Deleting the folders I have done countless times. And STILL I log in to more emails from them, the folders are there still, and they’re still filtering emails. Worst mistake ever!!!

Buyer be aware

After I did not renew my free trial, Sanebox initially disengaged from my account, but then suddenly began performing their “services” again without my authorization claiming that they were giving me more free time to decide. After I insisted on canceling their service, which was not an easy task, my email all of a sudden a few days later began being bombarded and assaulted by outside spam emails completely unrelated to my previous purchases or online activities (I mean 100s emails from all over the world at one time). COINCIDENCE or is this company playing dirty? Needless to say, I don’t believe in coincidences, but I want others to be aware.

This app is the epitome of hypocrisy

I realized I did not enjoy this app, so I deleted it. Now they constantly send me emails to pay for their subscription. I blocked sandbox and unsubscribed 5 times from the mailing list and you still send me emails. Incredibly predatory behavior from this company. I am so irritated with how I downloaded this app to stop email mailing lists yet this is the most annoying spam emailer I have ever encountered.

Concerned

I have only had the app one day so I’m still in the free trial period. I’m concerned because I can’t find how much it’s going to cost. Every time I click on “see plans” it takes me somewhere with no mention of plans or cost. That information should be upfront. I’m going to delete the app if I don’t find out the price today.

DO NOT USE THIS APP

I used sanebox for many years. It was just ok, not great. I cancelled over the weekend and my emails were not returned to me inbox as indicated, instead they were deleted. Their customer service is garbage and apple needs to remove this app from their App Store. DO NOT USE THID APP

Never ever install!

I wish apple would kick this app into the sun. If there was negative stars. This would get all of them. If you install this insane box crap. You will be spam emailed from hell and it never ends. Try it if you want more spam. And you can’t unsubscribe!

Garbage

Deleted this after I accidentally installed it. Now I can’t get rid of the folders in my Gmail.

NO LIVE PERSON PHONE CUSTOMER SERVICE

Way too complicated. Does a bunch of stuff you don’t want it to do. BUT DOESN’T SEEM TO BE ABLE TO KEEP JUNK MAIL FROM COMING TO YOUR JUNK FOLDER.

I need an encyclopedia

I need a technology encyclopedia in order to operate this software. And I just don’t have the time to look up one. So therefore I can function with this software. The developer believes that he discovered gold. In his design. But his layout is very complex and I just can’t see user-friendly to functionality in this platform. It’s just me. Because this app has high ratings. So forgive me for being on the slow bus.

would not let me sign up at all. i could only get as far as the password then it would tell me i couldn’t use any of the passwords i tried.

CONFUSING!

This operation should be more simplified. I couldn’t tell what, if anything, I should do even from the odd tutorial. Also, immediately upon installation, It solicited for related apps.
